Our Humble Beginnings

Starting as a Mom & Pop Shop in Nevada City, California, the Family tradition continues in SaN DIEGO

Owned and operated by Dave Wright, the opening of Pacific Beach Ice Cream Company was inspired by his parents' award winning ice cream shop, Treats, in Nevada City, California.

"A must visit when passing through the Nevada City area, the famous ice cream shop serves a unique blend of traditional handmade artisan ice cream, seasonal sorbets, and vegan selections using local and organic ingredients." — and the Pacific Beach Ice Cream Company is no different.

Founded on the premise of offering the classics done well with unexpected options, customers are encouraged to sample the gamut of unique flavors before choosing their favorite.

FAVORITE FLAVORS

Dave's father has perfected many recipes over the years which he is happy to bring to Pacific Beach in San Diego—the most popular being what Dave has named Dad's Real Mint Chip, a unique recipe using garden fresh spearmint leaves with rich dark chocolate flakes swirled into mouth watering ice cream.

Among the many famed flavors are the Middle Eastern inspired Saffron Rose Pistachio, Pear Ginger Sorbet (seasonal), and Chai Coconut (vegan) ice cream. Dave has created his own versions of the Italian Ices he had growing up in Delaware using fresh seasonal fruits—the Classic Lemon being his childhood (and adult) favorite to this day.

Stop by to sample the rainbow of hand-crafted premium ice cream, Italian ices & other vegan frozen treats to find  your new favorite.
